Public Lecture Series: Using Inquiry-Based Learning to Build Future Innovators
Traditional education often prioritizes grades and memorization, neglecting skills vital for real-world problem-solving. Van Andel Institute for Education’s Director and Education Officer Terra Tarango explored the power of inquiry-based instruction in fostering curiosity, creativity and critical thinking — essential traits for the next generation of innovators. Attendees discovered how VAI Education is helping teachers bridge this critical gap and took a VIP guided tour of VAI’s K-12 classrooms. Attendees also got to meet Toby, our African Spurred Tortoise, and participate in hands-on STEM activities!
