Dr. Lorna Cohen earned her B.S. in integrative biology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, where she studied mammalian limb development. Dr. Cohen next completed her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology Department, studying early morphological development of small insect species. There she gained experience and passion for many various imaging techniques and technologies. She joined Van Andel Institute in 2019 as an imaging apecialist in the Optical Imaging Core.
