Van Andel Education Institute welcomes Dr. James Bultman to Board of Trustees

Grand Rapids, Mich. (Jan. 2, 2014) – Van Andel Education Institute (VAEI), the science education arm of Van Andel Institute, is proud to announce that Dr. James Bultman has been appointed to its Board of Trustees.

Dr. Bultman served as the eleventh president of Hope College from 1999-2013. During his tenure as president, Hope College experienced an increase in enrollment and multiple facilities enhancements. He has an extensive background in higher education and is a respected community leader.

“Dr. Bultman’s experience and expertise will be valuable to the future of VAEI,” said Dr. Steven Triezenberg, Director of Van Andel Education Institute. “We look forward to his contributions on the Board of Trustees.”

Van Andel Education Institute is dedicated to strengthening science education and preparing and motivating individuals to pursue science-related professions through providing hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunities. VAEI programs are designed for students at all stages of the educational system, from elementary through graduate school, and for teachers and educators through professional development training.
