- Abstract: Our innate immune system encodes multiple signal molecules to detect and respond to bacterial infection. Their proper activation is critical for pathogen clearance, however, they must remain silent in a steady state to prevent auto-inflammation. In this talk, we will discuss how NAIP/NLRC4, the bacterial sensing inflammasome, assembles upon gram-negative bacterial infection.
