Sneak peek event at one-of-a-kind lakefront home raises funds for cancer, disease research

Grand Rapids, Mich. (Aug. 19, 2013) – Van Andel Institute hosts the second annual “Building Hope” event, an exclusive sneak peek of an extraordinary Lake Macatawa waterfront home designed and built by Scott Christopher Homes, Visbeen Associates and Jeffrey Roberts Design, to raise funds for cancer and neurodegenerative disease on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

“We’re fortunate to live in a community of people who really like to give back, and this is our way of doing that,” said Scott Christopher of Scott Christopher Homes. “I see a lot of value in medical research, and to have a research institute like Van Andel Institute in our backyard is a blessing.”

The event provides attendees with an exclusive look inside an extraordinary waterfront home in the Holland area, along with a strolling dinner, cocktails and live entertainment by the Hope College Jazz Trio.  The home features breathtaking views, sleek contemporary architecture, open kitchen with waterfall-edge island, and fitness room, among other unique attributes.

A limited number of tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased at www.vai.org. Suggested attire is modern summer chic. The home is located at 879 South Shore Dr., Holland, Mich.
