The last few years have been a time of change and improvement in the Laboratory of Microarray Technology (LMT) and in the genomics field in general. The LMT has shifted focus from the production of our QA/QC validated spotted cDNA microarrays, to the Agilent commercial array platform. This transition to the Agilent platform enables us to perform even more assays to address your research hypotheses, or to help you generate new hypotheses for further testing. The LMT is positioned to help you further your research through a number of Agilent-chip based services that are low-cost, high-quality, and capable of customization to meet your needs.
The Arrays
Several Agilent microarray formats exist, including full genome microarrays for over 10 different species:
1X244K (244,000 features)
2X204K (2 arrays per slide, 204,000 features per array)
4X44K (4 arrays per slide, 44,000 features per array)
8X15K Custom arrays (8 arrays per slide, 15,500 features per array)
The Standards
All products employed by the LMT and service work performed by the LMT meet strict quality control and quality assurance criteria based on those outlined by CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments).
The Laboratory is under the direction of James Resau, Ph.D.
