15 years and $1.9 million raised for Parkinson’s research!
It’s time to celebrate!
Join us for the 15th anniversary of Van Andel Institute’s Winterfest Celebration on Thursday, February 20, for an evening filled with delectable cuisine from Grand Rapids’ best restaurants, artisan wines and craft cocktails, and entertainment — all for an important cause — VAI’s Parkinson’s disease research.
The importance of Parkinson’s research
In the next decade, the prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases is expected to increase dramatically. Parkinson’s incidents are on the rise and by 2020 there will be nearly 1.2 million people living with the disease in the U.S., and more than 10 million people globally.
Because of your continued support, VAI scientists, along with national and international organizations and collaborators, are making discoveries that may lead to new ways to diagnose and treat this devastating disease.
We need you!
Winterfest is one of the Institute’s most popular fundraising events, and in 15 years we’ve raised more than $1.9 million to benefit research scientists in the Institute’s Center for Neurodegenerative Science. When you attend Winterfest, 100% of the proceeds go directly into the Institute’s labs where they can have the most impact. With your help, we can continue this momentum and give our scientists the funding they need to make life-changing discoveries.
Smart casual attire is suggested. Complimentary valet parking will be available at both club entrances.
