Georgios (Yiorgo) Skiniotis, Ph.D., is a Professor of Molecular and Cellular Physiology and of Structural Biology at Stanford University. Yiorgo’s laboratory employs primarily cryo-EM to investigate signaling cell surface receptors and the mechanisms that govern transmembrane signal instigation. His main focus is on cytokine receptors and G protein coupled receptors (GPCR), but occasionally extends his experimental approaches to explore structural and mechanistic questions in other biological systems.
