Consider how much the world has changed in your lifetime. Then try to fathom how much more it will change in the lifetime of today’s school children. Now imagine you are a teacher or a parent trying to prepare students for that world — a world that is exciting, complex and unfamiliar.
Join us for the Van Andel Institute Public Lecture Series: A Focus on Education in America on Dec. 12, 2019. Hear from educators who are creating classrooms where curiosity, creativity and critical thinking thrive, and developing new ways to prepare students for a world that doesn’t exist yet. In this lecture, we will explore the state of education in our society and how Van Andel Institute is transforming education to inspire the next generation of problem solvers. You will also have the opportunity to learn about Common Core State Standards, standards-based grading practices, project-based learning, and other influences on today’s schools.
Registration includes a complimentary boxed lunch and refreshments during the event.
Complimentary valet parking will also be available.
