Terra Tarango is an accomplished advocate in the education industry with more than 20 years of experience in educational publishing and services. Terra currently serves as the Chief Education Officer of the Van Andel Institute for Education in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There she oversees innovative student programming, game-changing teacher professional development, and the grass-roots implementation of Blue Apple projects all designed to equip the next generation of scientists with the knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to tackle the world’s most pressing problems. She is an expert in instructional climate and culture and has devoted her career to increasing curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in the classroom.
