Curiosity Hour: Fairy Tales Gone STEM

View 2023 Curiosity Hour: Out of this World! Event

Think fairy tales have nothing to do with science, technology, engineering and math? Think again! Join us for Curiosity Hour where you and your family immerse yourselves in the fairy tales and curiosity alike. Come use your coding skills to program a rescue robot to locate and then guide a lost character to safety; design a rocket capable of landing in a world far, far away; and meet and greet our special characters such as Cleopatra the bearded dragon, Garrus the snake, and a family of hissing cockroaches that will amaze and delight!

Please note: Van Andel Institute continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and adjust our event plans as needed. To keep everyone as safe as possible, proof of vaccination (printed vaccination card or digital version) or proof of a negative rapid test (day of event) will be required for guests at this event. All food and beverages will be served and consumed outside. Children are strongly encouraged to mask inside at the curiosity stations. Adults are also encouraged to mask indoors. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Cut off for registration is Wednesday, August 3rd.

Parking will be available across the street in the Ellis lot located at 210 Ionia Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
