Join Van Andel Institute’s JBoard Ambassadors on June 3 for the 11th annual Around the World — Grand Rapids’ official kickoff to summer! Enjoy a fantastic tasting menu, featuring selections from artisan wineries and some of Michigan’s best craft beer purveyors, while sampling globally influenced small plates and appetizers. AB will provide live entertainment throughout the evening, and 100% of proceeds exclusively benefit Van Andel Institute for Education’s K–12 education programs.

Suggested attire is summer casual. Complimentary valet parking is available at the main entrance of VAI.

Please note: Van Andel Institute continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and adjust our event plans as needed. To keep everyone as safe as possible, proof of vaccination (printed vaccination card or digital version) OR proof of a negative rapid test (day of event) will be required for guests at this event. Due to the currently high level of community transmission, all guests may want to consider conducting a rapid test the day of the event. Masks will be available but are optional.

6–7 p.m. Music from AB, strolling cocktails. Food will be provided by food trucks and Love’s Ice Cream parked at the main entrance.

• Elvis Pressquatch (1/2 lb. Bigfoot blend burger, peanut butter, fried banana, and lettuce, on a brioche bun)
