Our research team is dedicated to developing a new understanding of cancer that will help to prevent, treat, and cure human disease.

During the search for a new Van Andel Research Institute (VARI) research director, an interim Research Leadership Council consisting of Dr. George Vande Woude and Jana Hall and chaired by Dr. Patrik Brundin has been appointed to manage the Office of the Director. This committee has been given full authority to continue the active assessment of VARI's current programs, future initiatives, promotion policy, and funding models. They have also been assigned the task of modifying our policies and models where they need to be aligned with the long-term mission of VARI.
