Van Andel Institute events raise money and awareness to support our work. This enables our researchers to fight cancer and other diseases and our education programs that inspire and prepare tomorrow's scientists. VAI fundraisers offer a great atmosphere to enjoy spectacular food, entertainment, and unique experiences. VAI Golf Outing 2013

Join us on Monday, May 20th for the 6th Annual Van Andel Institute Golf Outing at the prestigious Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive, Michigan. The scramble features lunch, a cocktail reception and dinner. All proceeds from the event support disease research and science education at Van Andel Institute.

Hope on the Hill

A Night in The Secret Garden: 13th Annual Hope on the Hill Gala

Join us Thursday, October 17, 2013 for Van Andel Institute’s 13th Annual Hope on the Hill Gala, A Night in the Secret Garden. Sample cuisine from Grand Rapids’ finest restaurants and catering companies, sip martinis mixed on bars of chiseled ice, and enjoy live entertainment by THE SILHOUETTES™ as seen on America’s Got Talent Season 6. Guests are also invited to dance the night away in Club Hope.

Han-Mo Koo Lecture Series 

Please join us on June 27-28, 2013 for a series of lectures focusing on new cancer discoveries. This lecture series honors the memory of Dr. Han-Mo Koo, one of Van Andel Institute's founding researchers who lost his life to cancer in 2004. 

Origins of Cancer Symposium

The theme of the 4th Annual Origins of Cancer Symposium is "The Hallmarks of Cancer," based on the reviews in Cell by Drs. Hanahan and Weinberg. Accordingly, eight leading cancer researchers from throughout the country will present on an aspect of cancer.
