Our Research
Xenotransplantation Services Protocol
Prior to initiation of the experiments, the following must be obtained and completed, and returned to Craig Webb and Bryn Eagleson.
- A recent (within 3 months) pathogen test demonstrating that any cell lines, tumors etc. are free of mouse pathogens (the so called "MAP" test). PCR based diagnostic testing provided by MU Research Animal Diagnostic and Investigative Laboratory, University of Missouri
(1-800-669-0825) is acceptable. (NB, we will test these at an additional charge (+ $456) if required. (Time 2-4 weeks depending upon tissue culture.) )
- A completed VARI animal users protocol, recombinant DNA approval form, and MSDS safety sheets on any substances (drugs, antibodies, etc) to be used. (Time from submission ~4 weeks).
- Brief summary of proposed experiments, including numbers and strains of mice, groups, treatments etc. This will be used to ensure efficient technical expertise in a given area.
- Endpoints of experiment, and requirements from investigator on data return, and tissue collection.
At the time of experiment, following approval, we will need:
Cells (or tissues) of interest, plus information on culturing, etc. Also, all drugs, or other reagents should be provided in suitable aliquots with all necessary information (MSDS), and provided to:
