Cost

The basic projected cost is based on the estimated number of animals and time needed to harvest and freeze sufficient numbers of sperm for one strain, as well as quality control measures.

It is based on the assumption that the investigator will provide 2 fertile males.

The projected cost also does not include implantation of thawed embryos into pseudopregnant females for quality control.
