Charges

Samples are recorded and billed through a monthly charge-back invoice at $ 12.00 per sequence. Out-sourcing costs depend upon volume and administrative costs.

Samples will be re-sequenced free of charge if a sequencing failure is due to our error or mishaps in handling the samples (e.g., air bubbles in a capillary). However, we are not responsible for failure due to bad quality, incorrect quantities, sequencing primer mix-ups, power-outs, etc.

When loading samples on the capillary, we use ABI standards to determine capillary function and efficiency. As we perform sequencing PCR for all of your samples at the same time, we do have a check that the PCR worked as expected. Unless all lanes failed to give us a sequence, we are quite confident that an empty lane is due to the template or primer and not our error.
