Breakage Study

A breakage study is a fast technique to detect obvious chromosomal aberrations such as breaks, gaps, large deletions, dicentrics, chromosomal fragmentations, and complex rearrangements.  This technique is excellent for the preliminary study of chromosomal instability or aberrations due to radiation or mutagen treatments.
