“Translational Bioinformatics: From Bytes to Bench and Back”

“Dr. Tan is the Director of the Translational Bioinformatics and Cancer Systems Biology laboratory (Tan Lab). His lab develops and applies computational/machine learning and statistical methods to integrate high-throughout and complex biological data sources for biomarker discovery and the identification of aberrant signaling pathways in tumors. Dr. Tan is also the coordinator of the bioinformatics and biostatistics group of investigators working in developing new algorithms and statistical methods to analyze next-generation sequencing data at the UCD School of Medicine”.
