Innovation Health and a team of riders will be mountain bike racing 50 miles in Leadville, Colorado, to raise funds for Van Andel Institute and the Lance Armstrong Foundation - Livestrong. This is an epic ride, which starts at 10,000 feet and climbs over 8,000 vertical feet on a beautiful, yet grueling course. Cancer is a terrible disease, and most of us have been impacted or know someone who has been touched by cancer. My wife (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, '96) and mother (breast cancer, '03) are both cancer survivors; this is personal. Help us Race4Cancer! - Greg Hofmann, Innovation Health |

Why VAI
Van Andel Institute (VAI) is an innovator in developing "Personalized Medicine" technology for cancer patients. Since each person's genetic makeup partly determines how he or she will respond to a particular cancer treatment, this pioneering technology enables physicians to create a molecular profile of a patient's tumor to develop a personal treatment roadmap identifying which treatment options are best suited for that individual.
Video: VAI Senior Scientific Investigator and Director of the Program of Translational Medicine Craig Webb, Ph.D., discusses personalized medicine and its potential to improve patient outcomes.
