In observance of World Osteoporosis Day, the "World Osteoporosis Day Summit — Working Together for Better Bone Health" at Van Andel Institute will provide practical information about bone health, disease prevention and treatment and will highlight the partnerships that are being developed and strengthened between local organizations. The program will include speakers from the sponsoring organizations and features a keynote lecture by Dr. Laura Tosi, Director of the Bone Health Program at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Refreshments will be provided following the program.

About the Keynote Speaker Dr. Tosi's practice focuses on orthopaedic management of children with physical disabilities and birth defects. Dr. Tosi also works to increase physician awareness of bone health issues for women and children, with the goal of reducing debilitating bone injury as the population ages.
