“Kid’s Cancer Storys” is a book written and illustrated by five fifth and sixth graders whose mothers are struggling with or have died from cancer. The children were all part of a support group at Reeths-Puffer Intermediate School in Muskegon. Their language and style have been preserved, making this a wonderful book for both children and adults who have been touched by cancer. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will benefit cancer research at Van Andel Institute. For more information about the creation of the book, read the article from the Muskegon Chronicle.
Books are also available for purchase at The Book Nook & Java Shop in Montague and Hages in Muskegon. Schuler Books will also be carrying the book in its Grand Rapids locations. If you have any questions, please contact Jaime Brookmeyer at Van Andel Institute at 616-234-5390. |
