Employment

Postdoctoral Fellow

Requisition Number: 882

Description:
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately available in the Laboratory of Integrin Signaling and Tumorigenesis. Research in the laboratory focuses on the mechanisms by which integrins, cell adhesion receptors interacting with the extracellular matrix (ECM), regulate cell processes involved in the development and progression of cancer. Using tissue culture models, biochemistry, molecular genetics, and mouse models, we are defining the cellular and molecular events involved in integrin-dependent adhesion and downstream signaling that are important for prostate tumorigenesis and metastasis. Current projects include 1) determining how integrin crosstalk with receptor tyrosine kinases regulates cell survival during tumor progression, 2) identifying the mechanisms by which the metastasis suppressor gene, CD82, regulates integrin signaling, and 3) defining how the androgen receptor influences integrin signaling during tumorigenesis.
