Description:

 A Postdoctoral Fellow position is immediately open in the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology, mentored by Dr. George Vande Woude. The research focuses on Met, a transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptor protein critically required for many normal functions. However Met is also frequently activated as an oncogene in many human solid tumors <www.vai.org/met>. The molecular basis of malignant progression and how Met contributes to cancer is our major interest. The lab has developed many in vitro and in vivo assays for studying Met as a cancer gene and these are used in pre-clinical assays for testing new anti-Met drugs.

Requirements:

Ph.D. in a life-sciences discipline or an M.D. with a research focus.

Position Status:   Full-Time

Salary:   $40,000 - $48,000, depending upon post Ph.D. experience.
