- VAEI provides professional development for teachers in various formats during both summer and academic year sessions

Forums
The first program of VAEI was a forum on foundational issues in education held in July, 1997. Dr. Gordon Van Wylen, a VAEI trustee, organized this program for school superintendents.
Scholars from various disciplines engaged school leaders from across the nation on topics of leadership, character and moral education, and urban education. The summer forums continued through 1999.
VAEI has held other forums for school leaders on educational justice, science education, and early childhood education. These forums are offered periodically on different topics and in various formats. Please contact VAEI for more information.
