The Science Academy seeks and admits students who are curious, creative, persistent and who enjoy working with others. Students selected must make a commitment to attend the Science Academy Cohort Program for three years. The academy seeks a student body reflecting the demographics of the Grand Rapids Community.
The deadline for requesting an application for the VAEI Science Academy 2012 Fall Out-of-School-Time Elementary Cohort Program has passed. Completed applications are due Saturday, May 19, 2012. Application Process
Step 1: Request for Application
Applicants from the Grand Rapids area request an application during the designated time for each session.
Step 2: Submit an Application
When you receive your application, fill it out in its entirety, following all instructions, and send it in before the application deadline listed. Incomplete applications will not be considered during the selection process.
Step 3: Selection
After the application deadline, the selection process begins. A letter is sent to applicants regarding results of selection process.
Step 4: Orientation
An orientation is scheduled prior to the first session for those who are selected.
